Last week, the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) held their annual Strategic Planning Conference in Tucson, Arizona. During a media conference call, USMEF Senior Vice President of Asia Pacific, Joel Haggard, talked first about African Swine Fever (ASF) and it’s impacts on the pork trade.

But when it comes to U.S. beef going to China, Haggard said the U.S. has a very low market share.
