The American Seed Trade Association (ASTA) invites folks to attend the 2019 Vegetable & Flower Seed Conference, February 1-5 in Orlando at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. This global conference will bring together approximately 1,000 seed industry leaders from over 35 countries, thus making it ASTA’s fastest-growing event.
The 2019 conference will feature educational sessions that cover topics ranging from trade and phytosanitary issues to industry trends and innovation. There will also be a more spacious trading room with more than 150 participating companies.
Brand-new this year, ASTA will be partnering with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Office of the Chief Scientist on a session titled, “Global Perspectives on Indoor Farming & Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA): Producers to End-Users.” The session will feature expert speakers covering topics including crop selection, seed availability, consumer-driven traits, and global outlooks and scalability. The session wraps up with a 30-minute “lightning talk” round, in which participants will rotate to a variety of companies working in this space to provide their unique perspectives on CEA.
The schedule of events is available on the ASTA conference webpage.
