The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) took part in a two-day public meeting about fake meat last week The event, hosted jointly by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), covered a wide range of topics for consideration, including potential production hazards, food labeling, and marketing claims. NCBA President-elect, Jennifer Houston from Tennessee, attended the hearing and explains why they feel USDA is well-positioned to apply current food safety processes to lab-grown fake meat products.
