USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Alabama is seeking support from and opportunities to partner with like-minded natural resource conservation partners. The overall intent is to solicit partnerships to help enhance the implementation of key conservation objectives and priorities outlined further in this document.
NRCS wants to advertise opportunities to parties who are interested in partnering with them to provide technical services to address the key conservation objectives and focus areas. This includes:
- Technical services provided directly to farmers, ranchers, and other eligible entities, such as conservation planning, technical consultation, and assistance with design and implementation of conservation practices; and
- Technical infrastructure, including activities, processes, tools, and agency functions needed to support delivery of technical services, such as technical standards, resource inventories, training, data, technology, monitoring, and effects analyses. NRCS will accept single or multiyear applications submitted by eligible entities based in or with substantial operations in Alabama. The total amount of Federal funding the agency expects to award through this announcement is $1,530,000.
This opportunity requires applicants to cost share at least fifty percent (50%) of the total project costs.
