For the first time in more than 20 years the United States will host the World Meat Congress. The event will take place in Dallas, Texas, May 30th through June 1st.
U.S. Meat Export Federation CEO Emeritus Philip Seng says the meeting, which occurs every other year, is a gathering of different trade associations, government officials as well as private industry.
Seng says these gathering are very beneficial to the red meat industry internationally.
During the Congress, USMEF will host workshops on trade, economics, societal norms and those impacts on companies as well as producers. On top of that, Seng says there will be a “heavy dose” of discussion on the consumer and the consumer of tomorrow.
Seng anticipates the World Meat Congress will attract a wide variety of individuals and groups, directly and indirectly impacted by the meat industry.
