Cattle producers across the Southeast are encouraged to make plans to attend the 2017 Alabama Forage Conference. It will be held November 29 at Lakepoint State Park in Eufaula, Alabama. But a quick note, pre-registration for the event ends November 14. Cost for both a pre-conference tour and the forage conference is $65 per person, but just to attend just the forage conference is $50 per person. The pre-conference tour, set for November 28, is the Wiregrass Research and Extension Center in Headland, Alabama.
Alabama Extension Animal Scientist, Dr. Kim Mullenix, said attendees will have the opportunity to see current forage research as well as demonstration projects. They also will learn ways to improve soil and plant health to sustain year-round grazing systems.
