The 40th anniversary of the Sunbelt Agricultural Expo will take place October 17-19, 2017 at Spence Field in Moultrie, Georgia. And a part of this year’s event will be the 28th anniversary of the Swisher Sweets / Sunbelt Expo Southeastern Farmer of the Year Award. Since it started in 1990, the Farmer of the Year Award has evolved into the most prestigious honor in the Southeast and nation with 235 outstanding agribusiness leaders being honored for their “excellence in agriculture.” Ten states participate in the program: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. And Sunbelt Ag Expo has released information on all ten of the 2017 State Winners.
