No Plans to Name Cottonseed as an Oilseed

cottonseed in a cooking oil processing factoryThe U.S. cotton industry has been working for some time to get cottonseed designated as a covered commodity, making it eligible for the Agriculture Risk Coverage  and Price Loss Coverage  programs. But according to a story from Stephanie Ho, Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue indicates he is not likely to name cottonseed as an oilseed.
