According to USDA’s weekly crop progress report, cotton planting in Georgia continues to progress, as last week saw a big jump in the number of acres that were planted. 60-percent of the crop had been planted as of this past Sunday, up from only 38% the week before. Georgia Cotton Commission’s Richey Seaton is pleased with what he’s hearing and seeing thus far.
