Everett Griner talks about the many reasons peanut butter is a great, requested, food donation in today’s Agri View.
Except for a small number of people who are allergic to peanuts, peanut butter is one of the most requested foods by organizations that work to feed hungry people.
No food-contributing organization is more helpful to meeting the needs of nutritional groups than America’s peanut farmers and processors. When a food crisis strikes, they stand ready to help.
Just recently they donated 30,000 jars of peanut butter to a food bank in the nation’s capital. It is estimated that over a half-million people a year receive donated food to help sustain them.
Peanut butter is high on the list of healthy, and requested, food items.
Again, thanks to farmers and processors who supply peanut butter to needy families — at no cost.
That’s Agri View for today. I’m Everett Griner.
