Well it looks like one of the longest running water wars in this country is destined to go on for a while yet.

Federal officials put that dispute between Georgia and Florida in the hands of a moderator to make a decision. Well after several weeks the official tossed it back to the two states, for more effort, to reach a conclusion. He made it plain that neither state would be happy with his decision.

Georgia’s abundant use of water from the Flint and Chattahoochee Rivers, for metropolitan use and agriculture, leaves little for Florida’s fish and oyster industry in the Apalachicola Bay.

That is a tough decision for anybody to make.

See the dispute is one that affects the economy of both states. And the longer it lasts the worse it gets.

It isn’t over yet.
