The first organizational meeting of the new Florida Cattle Enhancement Board was held this week in Kissimmee. The direct service organization (DSO) is being funded with state dollars approved by the Legislature and Governor. Jim Handley says the group was put together to support research and promotion for the beef industry in the state.
