Ruling Could Have Some Bearing on Pending WOTUS Case

stream of water flowing through grassy hillsMany farm groups are calling the Supreme Court’s ruling that landowners can challenge the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers “judicial determinations” on wetlands in court a win for farmers and ranchers.

With all justices agreeing, the high court said landowners are not helpless when the Army Corps and the EPA declare a “Water of the U.S.”, or WOTUS, is on a landowner’s property.

The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association was one of those who filed a ‘Friend of the Court’ brief in the challenge to the Army Corps WOTUS jurisdiction, and their Senior Vice President of Government Affairs, Colin Woodall, had this to say about this week’s Supreme Court ruling.
