usfraCHESTERFIELD, Mo., (March 3, 2016) – Henry Ford, Founder of Ford Motor Company, said it best: “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.” And the first step to coming together is showing appreciation for your customers. In agriculture, our customers are the people who eat, wear and use the commodities that we grow and raise every day.

“We as farmers and ranchers sometimes don’t take the time to stop and show our appreciation to our neighbors, our Facebook friends and all those people we don’t know who buy and use our products,” says Nancy Kavazanjian, USFRA Chairwoman and Wisconsin Farmer. “As crop farmers come together this week, we’re asking everyone to take a minute to recognize and thank our customers for supporting the great, efficient and sustainable U.S. agricultural system we have developed to feed, fuel and cloth the world.”

Join USFRA at Commodity Classic March 3-5 in New Orleans, La., to ‘Thank a Consumer’ and express appreciation for these individuals that keep the agriculture industry strong. In the U.S. and abroad, all consumers help sustain farmers and ranchers’ livelihood and contribute to their overall profitability. Many campaigns justifiably thank farmers and ranchers, but now it’s our turn to share that gratitude and thank a consumer for their continued support in buying the food and products that we grow and raise for them.

“Thank you consumers for your continued support and allowing American farmers and ranchers to stay in the fields to grow and raise nutritious food for you,” says Jay Hill, a vegetable, beef and nut producer from New Mexico and one of USFRA’s Faces of Farming and Ranching.

Interested in showing your support? USFRA will have a consumer appreciation photo booth and distribute ‘Thank a Consumer’ shirts at this year’s Commodity Classic located at booth #1009.
