The annual Florida State Fair opens Thursday in Tampa, and various state officials will be on hand to kick off this year’s event. Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Adam Putnam and Attorney General Bondi will open the event with first responders by “flipping the switch” to turn on the lights of the midway. They will then join local farmers, ranchers and representatives from Florida’s agriculture community for a casual breakfast, featuring “Fresh From Florida” products. During the Governor’s Day Luncheon at the Charles M. Davis Special Events Center, the Governor will provide the keynote address. Commissioner Putnam, Attorney General Bondi and CFO Atwater will also be participating in the luncheon. The Florida State Fair runs from February 4 through February 15 at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa.
