From the American Sugar Alliance:

Earlier this month, a national farming television program called the U.S. Farm Report ran a segment that used decades-old talking points about U.S. sugar policy to completely mischaracterize U.S. producers’ stance on trade.

Sugar beet farmers who saw the show were rightly furious and contacted the show’s producers via letter to set the record straight.

To the television program’s credit, it wanted to give U.S. sugar producers time on air to clear up any misperceptions. That segment aired on May 23 and can be viewed here.

It goes without saying that America’s sugar growers appreciate the equal time. If you’re interested in seeing more, you can also check out the unedited three-minute video commentary that the American Sugar Alliance sent the show.
