The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service released its Quarterly Hogs and Pigs report this afternoon. And while Gary Crawford reports it may be a while before anyone knows exactly how many piglets have died so far from the PED virus, he talked with USDA Livestock analyst Shayle Shagam about how the numbers had both some expected and some not so expected results.
