The Florida Cattlemen’s Association is in Tallahassee this week for their annual Legislative Quarterly. They have all split up into small groups to stop by offices of both Senate and House members.

And as you can see, evens signs were posted by some welcoming the group to the capitol today as many look forward to visiting with FCA members each year at this time.
I talked with FCA President Wes Williamson, who is pleased with how the yearly event is going.
One of the topics cattlemen are discussing with lawmakers is support of the overall University of Florida IFAS budget. Mary Ann Hooks, Director of Government Affairs for UF–IFAS, appreciates the efforts of FCA members.
And while a majority of the day will be spent visiting State Senators and Representatives, this evening FCA members will join the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association for a joint Legislator’s reception and street party on Adams Street.
