Prattville, AL, August 22, 2012- Members of the Alabama Agribusiness Council Board of Directors spent the morning with Rep. Martha Roby discussing various issues relating to Alabama agriculture. Board Members were given the opportunity to engage in an open discussion with Roby while representing different sectors of agriculture. Roby updated Board Members on the Farm Bill and her expectations for the future of the bill.
AAC Board President Fred Clark welcomed Roby and explained the unique role that the Agribusiness Council plays in bringing all of the agricultural interests together. Executive Director Leigha Cauthen then presented Roby with the Distinguished Service Award for her exceptional leadership and dedicated service to Alabama Agriculture.
