Tariff-Funded Citrus Research Bill Passes 1 Senate Hurdle

Legislation to obtain up to $30 million a year in federal citrus research funding for HLB and other serious problems cleared a major hurdle Wednesday with passage by the Senate Finance Committee. The bill pushed by Sen. Bill Nelson was strongly supported by Florida Citrus Mutual. Mutual CEO Mike Sparks comments on the Wednesday action. Learn more.
