Florida citrus grower Peter McClure, member of two key Citrus Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) committees, says current replanting levels have the industry “on an extinction curve.” He also discusses the need for the industry to maintain enough citrus production to keep processing plants in operation. He says he is pleased with the CRDF’s work, including efforts to emphasize the “development” portion that gets research to work in the grove.
