Larry Black, general manager of Peace River Packing Company, was one of three growers at the recent Florida Citrus Growers’ Institute discussing their grove resetting practices. In this report, Black tells why he’s resetting and how he hopes to get young trees to productivity in the face of HLB. He also discusses the higher density plantings his company is employing, and the industry-wide shortage of nursery trees that force those who are resetting to plan ahead.
