Joe Davis Jr., a member of the Citrus Research and Development Foundation, recently urged fellow members to fund enough short-term research projects to ensure that growers have trees left by the time more long-term research comes to fruition. The issue of short-term and long-term research needs is addressed by Peter McClure, a member of the foundation’s Research Management Committee, and by Bobby Barben, a foundation member and chair of the Research Management Committee.
