NARBA Holding Convention at SE Regional Fruit & Veggie Conference

The North American Raspberry & Blackberry Association will hold their 2011 National Conference and Annual Meeting in Savannah on January 5 – 7. NARBA has been holding a regional meeting in Savannah, in conjunction with the SE Regional Conference, for the last several years. In 2011 the North American Blackberry & Raspberry Conference will feature an expanded program with an even greater array of speakers and topics, and will draw attendees from across the country.

NARBA events are planned for Wednesday, January 5, 2011 through Friday, January 7, 2011. Events include a tour of several farms plus additional sites in the area, educational sessions and the annual meeting. A Berry Fundamentals Workshop has been planned as well.

“We are pleased to have the North American Raspberry & Blackberry Association as part of the SE Regional Fruit and Vegetable Conference. They have an excellent program that is certain to draw a good crowd,” says Charles Hall, Executive Director of the Georgia Fruit and Vegetable Association.

Raspberry and Blackberry sessions all day on Friday are available to all attendees of the SE Regional Fruit and Vegetable Conference. The Blackberry/Raspberry sessions on Thursday morning and afternoon (excluding the Fundamentals Workshop) are only available to North American Raspberry & Blackberry Conference attendees.

The SE Regional Fruit and Vegetable Conference is scheduled for January 6 – 9, 2011. The event, sponsored by the Georgia Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association and the South Carolina Peach Council, will be held at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center. Featuring informative workshops, classes and demonstrations, it is designed to bring the most up-to-date and relevant information to the fruit and vegetable industry.
