Farm and ranch safety is critical to success in agriculture today and safety is the focus of a special exhibit pavilion at AG CONNECT Expo 2011. The
Safety Zone will be coordinated by the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day®
program and will be an interactive space with engaging activities and
informative educational demonstrations. AG CONNECT Expo is the next
generation global Ag trade show in North America, slated for January 8-10,
2011 (Preview Day January 7 by special admission) at the Georgia World
Congress Center, Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

The Progressive Agriculture Safety Day  program provides local communities with training and resources to conduct one-day hands-on events that help teach children how to stay safe on a farm or ranch. It is an initiative of the Progressive Agriculture Foundation (PAF), and each year the program reaches more than
90,000 children and adults across the U.S.

“Safety is a top priority, and AG CONNECT Expo and AEM are pleased to again
host the Safety Zone coordinated by Progressive Agriculture Safety Day;
attendees at our inaugural show, AG CONNECT 2010, said it was a critical
part of the show experience, ” said Sara Mooney, director of AG CONNECT
Expo. “The tremendous safety awareness work done by the Progressive
Agriculture Foundation and the other participants in the Safety Zone can
save lives and prevent injuries.”

Attendees at AG CONNECT Expo 2011 will find the latest innovations,
products, services and technologies in all agriculture sectors and will be
able to network and discuss industry trends and issues with experts from
around the world.

AG CONNECT Expo also offers extensive educational offerings. “These were a
big hit with attendees at AG CONNECT 2010, and in 2011 we are continuing to
build on what attendees want in education. And, attendees and exhibitors at
AG CONNECT Expo 2011 will have the added benefit of the many and varied
entertainment and tourist attractions for which Atlanta is known,” Mooney
said.

Advancing farm and ranch safety and health is a major action area for the
Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), which
owns and produces AG CONNECT Expo. AEM is a sponsor of the Progressive
Agriculture Safety Day program. AEM also oversees an extensive
safety-materials program, has partnered with OSHA and MSHA in safety
alliances, and has developed a pictorial database used to consistently
communicate hazards and their avoidance.
