One of the major topics being discussed at the 2010 Cattle Industry Conference here in Denver is the findings of a routine beef checkoff compliance review of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association by an independent CPA firm. Today the Federation of State Beef Councils met and their Chair, Scott George, related how disappointed he was with the way this information was sent out.
Also attending that meeting was NCBA’s CEO Forrest Roberts, who talked about this issue and how they plan to learn from all of this but really want to move on and come together for the cattle industry.
