Up to $30 million a year in federal tariffs on imported citrus and juice would be allocated to citrus research under a U.S. Senate bill that was slated to be filed Monday. All citrus producing states would work together on allocating research funds in the fight against greening disease and other serious citrus problems if the bill passes.
