It seems that last January’s severe freeze is continuing to have lingering effects on agriculture as the Southwest Florida Water Management District has unveiled a plan to limit the amount of water growers can pump during freezes. And Hillsborough County strawberry grower, Michelle Williamson, says many growers are already implementing crop-protection alternatives, however these will ultimately have an impact on the wallets of both producers and consumers.
