A series of public meetings are underway across the country to get feedback on the new flexible coordinated network for animal disease traceability, because as most in livestock production know, USDA has scrapped the national animal identification system. In the following reports we talk with Dr. Tony Frazier, Alabama State Veterinarian, Stephen Monroe with the Florida Department of Agriculture’s Division of Animal Industries, and Dr. Carter Black, Georgia State Veterinarian about this overall process.
