Phil Rucks of Phillip Rucks Citrus Nursery says last week’s unexpectedly low orange crop forecast of 136 million boxes means higher fruit prices, hopefully giving growers more money to spend on new trees. He also points out that growers get higher production over time by replacing non-productive trees.
