A reminder from Florida Citrus Mutual -There will be a public hearing on the State Citrus Research Order referendum Tuesday this week at 2 p.m. at the Bert J. Harris Jr. Agricultural Center in Sebring. Representatives from Florida Citrus Mutual, the Citrus Research and Development Foundation and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services will be present to answer questions. Southeast AgNet will be attending so stay tuned to this website for coverage in coming days.
Also, there will be a statewide conference call hosted by Florida Citrus Mutual concerning the upcoming referendum on November 12, 2009 at 10 am. Grower questions are encouraged. To participate, growers should dial 1-866-544-4631. No code is needed. Southeast AgNet tentatively plans to audio stream the conference call on November 12 LIVE at this website. Stay tuned for more about that as details for the audio stream are worked out.
