A new event at the 2009 Cattle Industry Convention was a beef cooking contest put together by the Beef Checkoff’s Culinary Center. Six states participated including a team from Florida which was made up of members of the Florida Cattleman and Cattlewomen Associations. Pictured (l-r) are Emily Hobby, Bo Hobby, Jim Handley, and Angela Johnson.
You can see how great their entry looks and while the judges said it tasted fantastic, a team from Nebraska actually won. But as many said, the team from Florida seemed to have the most fun.
