During the evening’s festivities, officials announced that $85,668 had been donated by industry and individuals to the Jimmy G. Cheek Graduate Student Medal of Excellence Fund, a scholarship started in 2006 and intended to help high achieving graduate students in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences.
