He says according to local growers and packers as well as Florida Agriculture Statistics, the quality of the River’s fresh fruit this year is well above average. Bournique also says feelings are upbeat and positive for the future as growers and industry continue to learn how to cope with canker and HLB (greening disease) through new science and resulting changes in production practices.
