Florida Agri-Women Awards Scholarships

HOMESTEAD, FL- Florida Agri-Women is pleased to announce their two scholarship award winners for 2008. In the undergraduate studies category Ms. Jamie Stolarz of Davie has been awarded the scholarship. She is pursuing a degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition with a specialization in Dietetics from the University of Florida. She has a 3.94 GPA and is a University Scholars Program Scholar.

Ms. Amber Pitt of Gainesville has been awarded the scholarship in the graduate studies category. She is working toward a PhD in Interdisciplinary Ecology. Ms. Pitt is currently studying populations of freshwater turtles in a spring fed river and has a 4.0 GPA.

The scholarship winners have been invited as guests of Florida Agri-Women at their Annual Meeting in Gainesville August 1-3, 2008. They will be recognized at the Founders Dinner on Saturday evening. The winners also received a complimentary one year membership to Florida Agri-Women.
