Dr. Harold Browning, UF-CRECUniversity of Florida’s Citrus Research and Education Center (UF/CREC) has started a new monthly update on citrus research projects (pdf file)to better keep the citrus community informed of the progress on several fronts. Got an introductory note about it today from UF/CREC Director Dr. Harold Browning, along with the first issue. You can find each issue right here on AgNet OnLine when they are published. Here is the first issue (pdf file), and to read the introductory explanation from Dr Browning, see it here:
Good afternoon:
Please find attached the first issue of a newsletter that is being provided by University of Florida IFAS in an effort to report progress in research on citrus greening and canker. This electronic newsletter will be circulated monthly to the Florida citrus industry, policy makers and UF, IFAS contacts who have interest in being kept aware of research progress. The format will evolve, but will focus on brief updates, breakthroughs, and work in progress. When available, upcoming dates for educational opportunities for learning about greening and canker also will be included.

Please pass this message to interested parties. It is our goal to have the pdf file posted to newsletters, websites, and other methods to further spread the word.

Thank you for your support and let us know your thoughts on this newsletter.

A routine distribution list is being developed to solicit input from all IFAS faculty involved in research on greening and canker.

Regards,
Harold
