USDA’s National Agriculture Statistics Service released its 2017 planted acreage numbers, and according to this report from Tyron Spearman, peanut acreage in the United States is up 9 percent from last year.
The increase in peanut acreage across the U.S. this year will be needed. According to a story from Tyron Spearman, this crop will be needed to meet both export and consumer demand.
