Various activities will keep the Georgia Beef Board staff busy the next few weeks with June beef month underway, as Ashley Hughes says one of those includes a trip to the state capitol this Thursday for the official proclamation signing by the Governor.
FL Summer Grilling Season Underway
The annual summer grilling season promotion through the beef checkoff is off and running again as Roger Butler, who serves on the Florida Beef Council, said they have several programs with different chains underway.
AL Beefing Up the Blood Supply
According to Ed Whatley, part of the summer grilling promotional events for the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association is getting involved in trying to beef up the blood supply across the state.
AL NRCS Hoping to Soon Implement Programs
With the fact the 2008 farm bill was late in coming, the work of actually getting programs implemented was delayed, but Dr. Bill Puckett, State Conservationist for USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service in Alabama, said they hope to get their programs going soon.
GA June Beef Month Underway
June is beef month in Georgia as the annual event is underway across the state, and Georgia Beef Board’s Jim Collin’s said they are there to help county chapters with events in their local communities.
FCA Convention 2 Weeks Away
The 2009 Florida Cattlemen’s Association Convention and Allied Trade Show is coming up June 15-18 at Marco Island, an event FCA’s Jim Handley said they have developed quite a good reputation for. For more information about this years convention click Here
