Looking at Declining Beef Checkoff Budget
At the Cattle Industry Summer Conference, the Cattlemen’s Beef Board unanimously approved a $40.6 million budget for Fiscal 2011 which is down 7.4% from this year’s budget. Dr. Billy Powell with the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association was able to sit in on the advertising committee meeting during the conference to see how checkoff dollars are being spent in that area.
