Feb. 16 Carbendazim Update: 1 New OJ Import Sample Is Positive

The Food and Drug Administration on Thursday announced that only one additional shipment of orange juice intended for import into the United States tested positive for the fungicide carbendazim at 10 parts per billion or higher, levels at which the agency detains the shipments or refuses their entry. FDA Rejects Brazil’s Request To Test OJ Imports At Single Strength

The Food and Drug Administration has apparently rejected a request by the Brazilian Citrus Exporters Association (Citrus BR) that orange juice imported into the United States be tested for quantifiable residues of the fungicide carbendazim on a single-strength basis.
