Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Wilton Simpson has announced that the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ Rural and Family Lands Protection Program has preserved additional Florida farmland in Washington County, Florida. An axle weight bill is making its way through the Alabama Legislature. Currently, trucks are limited to loads of 80,000 pounds with a 10% variance, but with no more than 20,000 pounds per axle.
