
The US Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins has announced the slate of presidential appointments for the Farm Service Agency and Rural Development State Director positions. These appointees will work to plan, organize and administer the FSA programs in each state. Notably in the Southeast, Monica Carroll appointed as State Executive Director, Alabama Farm Service Agency; Marcinda Kester appointed as the State Executive Director, Florida Far, Service Agency; and Duncan Johnson appointed as State Executive Director, Georgia Farm Service Agency. Secretary Rollins said, “When America’s farming communities prosper, the entire nation thrives. This new group of USDA appointees will ensure President Trump’s America First agenda is a reality in rural areas across the country. I am grateful for the leadership of these new state directors and look forward to their work reorienting the agency to put Farmers First again.”
