The US Trade Representative published revisions to the port service fees last week. The fees, designed to restore the shipbuilding industry in the US, were changed due to nearly 600 public comments being received including a two-day public hearing. These changes were made with the design of limiting disruption for U.S. exporters. Exporters are responding to these changes and the US Meat Export Federation CEO Dan Halstrom shared his thoughts on the proposed port service fees.
