At Alabama Livestock Auctions, for the week ended April 11, 2025, receipts at 16 markets totaled 6,296 head compared to 7,932 last week and 12,195 last year. Compared to last week: Slaughter cows sold 4.00 to 9.00 lower, slaughter bulls sold sharply lower. Feeder cattle sold 3.00 to 12.00 lower. Trade moderate to active with moderate to good demand on feeder cattle. Replacement cattle sold steady. Year-to-date receipts totaled 122,777 compared to 144,994 last year.
