Florida Cattlemen’s Association Announces Staff Transitions

The Florida Cattlemen’s Association has announced an upcoming transition of staff due to the retirement of Jim Handley after 27 years of service. In a letter to members, Florida Cattlemen’s President Dale Carlton outlined the process taken to address the transition including convening a small committee with leadership representation of Florida Cattlemen’s, Florida Beef Council Florida Cattlemen’s Foundation and the Florida Cattle Enhancement Board. The upcoming transitions include Deanne Maples, currently serving as Executive Director of the Florida Beef Council, will become the CEO of the Florida Beef Council and Dusty Holley, Current Director of Field Services of the Florida Cattlemen’s Association will become the Executive Vice President of the Florida Cattlemen’s Association. Holley will also server as the Executive Director of the Florida Cattlemen’s Foundation, the Managing Editor of the Florida Cattleman and Livestock Journal, the Executive Director of the Florida COW PAC and the Chief Operating Officer of the Florida Cattle Enhancement Board. President Carlton shared, “Myself, my fellow FCA Officers and the leadership of FBC, FCF and FCEB are excited for the future. We greatly appreciate your continued support of our industry and look forward to seeing you at the Convention in Marco Island.“ The staff transitions will occur on April 16th.
