USDA has announced that the July Cattle on Feed Report will be reinstated for 2025 after being discontinued last year. The annual report produced by the National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) was cut last year, along with the cotton yield survey and all county estimates for crops and livestock reports due to budget cuts. The mid-year report for cattle on feed is a key indicator for decision making by lawmakers and by producers and will be published on July 25th. In addition to the cattle on feed report, USDA NASS also announced additional county estimates reports will begin in May for cotton, corn, sorghum, soybeans, cattle rice and peanuts.
