National Ag Week celebrations kick off this week across the nation. According to the Agriculture Council of America, National Ag Day is “a time when producers, agricultural associations, corporations, universities, government agencies and countless others across America gather to recognize and celebrate the abundance provided by American Agriculture.” Although Ag Day is set for March 18th this year, many states are taking the opportunity to celebrate agriculture throughout the week.
The Agriculture Council of America also states that quote “agriculture provides almost everything we eat, use and wear on a daily basis, and is increasingly contributing to fuel and other bio-products. A few generations ago, most americans were directly involved in- or had relatives involved in – agriculture-related endeavors. Today, that is no longer the case.”
