
Registration for the 2025 Farm Stress Summit in Statesboro is now underway, Dale Sandlin with Southeast AgNet has the story.
UGA Extension, along with the Georgia Department of Agriculture and other departments and agricultural organizations are preparing for the 2025 Farm Stress Summit to be held in Statesboro on Thursday, March 13. The event will connect advocates with farmers and rural community members through small-group sessions and workshops. The event will include information on post-disaster recovery, as well as suicide prevention.
Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper said, “Farm stress is at an all time high as our Ag Community continues to recover from Hurricane Helene and a historic drop in US Net Farm Income – I’d encourage all interested farmers to register.” Registration information can be found through the University of Georgia Extension website.
