
A USDA meteorologist’s list of top weather events in our nation in 2024 of course includes hurricanes. Milton was a category three storm that crossed Florida in October, and one where damage values are still being estimated.
That’s USDA meteorologist Brad Rippey. He also looks at one of the most damaging hurricanes in modern history, Hurricane Helene in September.
The hurricane season also included the first two Atlantic Basin hurricanes to make landfall in the U.S. in 2024.
And then Debby made landfall in Florida the next month.
