At Alabama Livestock Auctions, for the week ended September 20, 2024, receipts at 16 markets totaled 11.106 head compared to 15,175 last week and 16,510 last year.  Compared to last week: Slaughter cattle sold 4.00 to 10.00 lower. Feeder steers and feeder bulls sold steady to 4.00 lower, feeder heifers sold 2.00 to 8.00 higher. Trade active with good demand on feeder cattle. Replacement cattle sold steady to weaker. Year-to-date receipts totaled 386,768 compared to 458,948 last year.
